MANCHESTER, UK – Customers and staff at a McDonald’s branch in Manchester were left stunned when a woman entered the fast food outlet with her horse and allowed it to do its business on the floor. Not the most appetising thing to see or smell when you are trying to enjoy your big mac meal.
The horse rider, who is not named, was fined as a result of entering the fast food outlet with police claiming she had caused distress to those who were inside.
She had initially attempted to purchase her meal by going through the drive through window however she was informed that she could not be served as she was on a horse. So she then proceeded to enter the store by the main entrance instead apparently unperturbed by the fact she was bringing the horse in with her as well.
A spokeswoman for McDonald’s said: ‘The health and safety of our customers and staff is our top priority, and for this reason we are unable to serve pedestrians, bicycle riders or customers on horseback through the drive-thru.’
Greater Manchester police added: ‘Officers arrived at the location and the woman was issued [with] a fixed penalty notice for causing alarm and distress to other customers and staff.’
What do you guys think about this? How would you react if a horse entered a McDonalds you were eating in? Would it have been easier to just serve her in the drive through in the first place? Let us know in the comments below.
